Monica & Bradford's Sun-Soaked Engagement Session

So... honestly I don't even know where to start because I have so much to talk about.  Oh!  I can do a list of things in my head...

1.) I <3 Monica (and Bradford.)  Monica is half owner of Classy Covers (an awesome local linen rentals company), and we've gotten to know each other and become friends over the past year or so.  I was SO excited when she first talked to me about shooting her wedding, and ridiculously excited when she actually said yes. M&B are a blast, and I love spending time with them.

2.) Lucky me! I get to work with Events by Elisa at the wedding.  I also <3 Elisa!  She is FANTASTIC.  I honestly had no idea she was coordinating M&B's wedding until I saw a post on facebook from one of them regarding props for the engagement session.  Props?!  Elisa?! YAY!  Props are cool, sometimes, like now, in these photos.

3.) I got new glasses the Tuesday before this Friday shoot.  I still was not used to them.  When we first talked about the engagement session M&B had the perfect location in mind, and said we'd have to climb down a hill.  I said ok.  They were not kidding, and it was actually more like a cliff.  If you've ever tried adjusting to new glasses, you might be familiar with the "everything is moving in waves and distances are not what they seem" condition.  Not idea for hiking down a cliff, and I am pretty sure I almost fell on my face (or plummeted to my death, I'm telling you, my depth perception was no bueno).  But miraculously we (well I was the only one with a problem, apparently) made it down to the bottom, safe and sound, and the spot was perfect. A secluded area of Del Mar with beautiful sun shining down, and a fun train-track to play on, too!

And here we go...

We had so much fun that we are going to do an engagement session part 2 this weekend, and I love the idea they came up with for it!  Stay tuned for more fun from these two!
