A Perfectly Planned Proposal

Valentine's Day is here, and love is in the air! It's the time for all things chocolate, red hearts, good wine, sweet kisses, and our dear friend Cupid sending hearts a-flutter. With so much romance grasping our attention, it's no wonder that many couples choose this time to take the first step in embarking on the most romantic adventure of them all: marriage!

I feel like I should stop for a moment with a disclaimer before you get too excited. This is an inspiration shoot. An interesting one, actually. While the proposal to follow may be staged, the emotion and love is not. Our lovely models, Vanessa and Bobby, are a real married couple. They actually got engaged on Valentine's Day a few years ago, so this was a really fun trip down memory lane for them!

And speaking of memory lane, this is a side-note, but too interesting to not mention... a good chunk of the vendors who participated in this shoot went to high school with me. Even middle school for a couple! Jillian from San Diego Wedding Hair by Jillian Rae, Liz from Petal Punch, and our model Vanessa all hail from my own alma matter! Crazy!

Anyway, back to the goods...

The story behind the shoot is this: Bobby takes Vanessa out for a perfectly planned Valentine's Day picnic complete with yummy treats and pretty things inspired by the natural scenery of the park. Soon after they start their date, Bobby gives Vanessa a very special Valentine...
