Getting Dolled Up with The Friends of Scott Foundation

You may remember a special feature posting that I did a few weeks ago about some photo work I did with The Friends of Scott Foundation {If you want to see that post, click here}.  It was the one about their dress boutique shopping day where a lovely bunch of gals got to go pick out a beautiful dress for their upcoming prom night that was hosted by The Friends of Scott Foundation.  Well, Carmen, the wonderful president of the foundation got in touch with me last Friday in an interesting turn of circumstances...

I had already signed up to volunteer and help with the set up for the prom that Friday.  As I was getting ready to head out, a friend (my dear Louanne!) who is also involved with the group, sent me a message and said Carmen needed help.  The Friends of Scott PR team had scheduled a very special outting with one of the girls to go get her hair and make-up done at a local salon by a celebrity stylist, to be aired on The Today Show... and they were in desperate need of a photographer to cover the fun.  She wondered if I could help.

Well... Duh.

I packed my gear up, and off I went to Model Call Salon (which is gorgeous, by the way)! It was such a treat to see one of the girls whom I had met at the dress boutique get all dolled up for her night on the town.  She had so much fun getting her hair and make-up done and getting to work with celebrity stylist Anya Sarre.  She looked beautiful (not that she even needed the help!) and I was grateful for the opportunity to share that moment with the entire team that helped make that event happen.

So cheers to The Friends of Scott foundation, again, for their wonderful work they do to help these awesome kids!
