More than once I've received inquiries from clients who have had their photographer cancel on them for whatever reason. I always hate to hear this because I hate brides and grooms to be stressed before their weddings. At the same time, this occurance has brought me together with some really awesome clients, like Nicole and Andrew. With just about a month to go before their wedding, they asked their wonderful florist (Robin from Grand Floral) for a reccomendation, and she passed along my name. Lucky me! Nicole and Andrew were such a treat to work with. They were so happy the entire day, their families were the sweetest, and the day was just perfect.
Nicole and Andrew met while students at BYU. After developing a strong friendship through their college years, they finally started dating. After a courtship of about a year, the pair decided it was time for them to tie the knot. They settled on a destination wedding (they currently reside in Utah) in San Diego, and invited their closest family and friends to join them in celebrating their marriage.
Their ceremony was at the LDS Temple in La Jolla, San Diego, and I met them afterwards for some photo time. Afterwards, they joined their friends and families for an intimate luncheon at The Marine Room, also in La Jolla. The decor focused on lush florals in various shades of purples with just a touch of grey. So pretty! Also, a cool detail- the guest favors were tins filled with sea shells that are actually chocolate! And made by a close family friend of the bride. I love special details like that. And I must say that the smaller cake by Flour Power adds a bit of texture that perfectly compliments the soft decor. All in all, it was gorgeous.
Congratulations, Nicole and Andrew, I wish you all the best in your life together!
