"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."- Unknown (NOT Mark Twain.)
Well, as a former San Diego resident who is well into her first summer in San Francisco, I am quickly learning this is somewhat true! It can get pretty chilly out there considering it's July! Heather and Brian, who traveled in from Pennsylvania, learned this firsthand, too!
Meet Heather and Brian. Heather is a nutrition teacher and Brian is does some kind of technical engineering of some sort that I didn't quite understand. From what I was able to gather, he's a professional smart cookie. Heather and Brian met at a cookout at Brian's cottage in 2009. Brian likes to say that he "won" Heather as a result of a game played with Heather's grandmother. That is one story I'd love to hear more about!
Heather and Brian are from Pennsylvania, but since they love San Francisco so much, and Brian had a work conference in the city coming up, they decided to make a trip out of it and get their engagement photos done in one of their favorite cities! Luckily they found me, because I had so much fun with them! We were hoping to get some great shots with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, but that day was probably one of the foggiest days I've yet to experience in San Francisco, so unfortunately that didn't work out. Luckily they were both really flexible, and we had a great back-up plan- Lands End!
I am a huge, huge fan of Lands End. It is one of my favorite places in the city. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Plus there's a cave and remains of an old bathhouse! So cool! Heather and Brian were really fun to hang out with. They joked with each other quite a bit, and it was never a problem for Brian to get Heather to smile. I loved that.
