WPPI and Clarity

Hello Blog world! It's been a while since I've last updated, and that's because last week I took some time "off" to travel to Las Vegas. Don't worry, it wasn't all slot machines, buffets, and cocktails. It was quite the opposite, actually. For several days I attended WPPI (the Wedding and Portrait Photographers' International) conference at the MGM. It was an intensive week of learning. I took classes with some amazing photographers who's work and business ethics I look up to, and I learned so very much. I also did a fair share of wandering around the trade show, where I found some great goodies that you, my clients, will be enjoying when the time comes! Stay tuned for news about that!

I left Las Vegas with a new resolve. Sure, I had picked up some interesting tips and tricks about lighting, posing, composition, and the technology behind what I do, but what I left with in my heart was so much more. I left wanting so much more. For myself, for my business, and for you. I made a decision while I was there. It's time to step up my game, take a few risks, and become the photographer that I know in my heart I can be. It'll be scary, but I'm ready for the challenge!

That being said, I'll be going through a little bit of a rebranding process over the next several months. They will just be little changes, some of which you may not even notice right away. But in the end, the final package will be awesome! So, my friends, stay tuned for wonderful, beautiful things that are sure to come!

And here I am, getting my learnin' on! I was the only girl there for Jeff Lewis' talk about sports photography, but it was so informative and awesome! And sometimes shooting a wedding is kinda like shooting sports... am I right?! :)   {photo from my friends at BorrowLenses.com}
