Well, it has been quite a while since I've had an opportunity to update the blog. It's not that I don't want to, because I really, really do! I haven't updated because I simply haven't had a spare second to do so! Summer is what I call weddingcrazytime, and it's that time of the year where I tend to fall off the face of the planet, do a lot of traveling (this year, anyway), and try to take a lot of photos, get consumed by editing, and try to keep my sanity. So I'm probably not neglecting... I'm just trying to find a moment to breathe!
Wedding season is starting to wind down for me, and I think I have about six weddings more wedding collections that need to be finished up... and then it's show and tell time, so stay tuned for lots of pretty pictures and sweet stories from this summer's weddings!
Weddings aside, I have some exciting new features I wanted to share with you! Wedding collections have changed just ever so slightly. I now offer new options for your albums, that I think you will find to be awesome, in terms of style, quality, and price!
If your wedding collection includes digital copies of edited images, I've made another little switch-- you'll be getting those on a flash drive, instead of a DVD. My reasons for doing this are many. First and foremost, it's an archival issue. As a storage medium, DVDs don't last forever. They get scratched, they can melt, they get lost, and over time they deteriorate. High quality flashdrives will last quite a bit longer and are much more difficult to mess up! Likewise, it is in the opinion of many that DVDs are on their way out. Some newer laptop models don't even have a dvd drive! So a flash drive will ensure that your photos are viewable on as many devices as possible. Plus, think of how many things around your home or office that you can plug in a flash drive to, vs things that have a dvd drive. I bet there's quite a bit more! Overall, I think this change is the safest, smartest choice for all of us. Your images will be protected longer and will be usable across a wider variety of devices. Woohoo!
I have also set up online booking. I had this set up before I moved, but I did reinstate it after I settled in my new home due to timing and other issues. But it's back up and working! You may now, once again, schedule consultations as well as book your engagement session, portrait sessions, and other sessions all online! It still is not set up for booking your wedding online. I still like to handle that personally to make sure your wedding collection is just the right fit and that we have all the details correct. If you would like to schedule a consultation or a photography service online, you can do that by clicking here: Book Online
So I think that's it for now. As I said before, there are lots of pretty things that will be popping up on the blog soon as far as wedding images go, so keep an eye out! Cheers to a happy fall!
